What is urology?
Urology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the functions, diseases and care of the urinary tract — kidneys, urethra and bladder — in men and women and the reproductive system — penis, prostate and testicles — in men.

What is a urologist?

A urologist is a doctor who specializes in the care of the male and female urinary tracts and the male reproductive system. Because of the wide variety of clinical situations involved in the field, a urologist must also be knowledgeable about internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and other specialties.
